For a change we have a decent frontal system coming through with some real rain instead of those weak things we have experienced in recent times that barely bring a shower, some brief random and skiffy showers throughout the day with the decent rain starting about 16:00 and continuing almost without break ever since, predicted to rain all night and clear before lunch tomorrow so it would be what I call a typical 12 - 18 hour frontal passage with hopefully 30 - 50mm of rainfall . . . my water tank hopes so anyway. Max temperature today was 15.8c at 12:22 which coincided with one of the two or three fleeting glimpses of a weakish sun. Today started grey and overcast with an increasing Easterly wind that reached its peak gust of 44km/hr at 20:24 after it had drifted more towards a North Easterly, now very slowly trending back towards an Easterly. Outdoor Humidity has been pretty much stuck over 90% for most of the day but did get down to a low of 63% briefly at 13:02. As predicted yesterday the Barometer has indeed run out of puff and has dropped consistently today except for a small rally between 4:00 and 10:30 before completely capitulating and heading south, currently down to 1015.8 hPa from a max of 1020.6 at 0:00, currently falling at -0.1 hPa.
