Port Robinson, North Canterbury 8.20am

Mostly cloudy with a thin line of blue. Shower of rain 20 minutes ago and forecast for heavy stuff in a couple of hours for the rest of the day. Temperature 8.6° and unlikely to rise much above 11°. 0.2mm of rain recorded since midnight. Yesterdays total was 7.6mm. Wind is from the SW  at around 6kmh with the strongest gust in the last hour at 9.7kmh.

Big downpour in Howick, 20mm last hour. I was unfortunate to be caught in the worst of it whilst walking home; not even an umbrella could save my shoes!

Norfolk Island  gusty winds, storms around us with rain passing through with the winds.
high 19`C low of 14`C
7.2m swell tonight here on Norfolk island.
 High tide was just before sunset.  some wonderful waves rolling into the cliffs
