John sorry I missed your birthday yesterday and trust that you had a really good one though. All the very best of everything for the coming year and they are sure coming round quicker now I have found out - no doubt you have noticed it too. Blink and another one is there.
What a lovely cake that Jenny made for you too - must have been up half the night making that one.

It is hard to believe it has been a year since we started this topic and wished you a happy 75th Suez but it has and hence today we do it again

Jenny you must have been up later than me last night doing that ice cream cake which is so appreciated and thank you for your good wishes too. Yes that time has really flown this last year - but look at the wonderful forum that we have - none other like it and with such friendly and lovely people on it too - from one end of the country to the other end - amazing.
I had all the family here yesterday at diferent times during the day which made it quite busy but thoroughly enjoyable and have my son here again today which is lovely.
Many thanks to Mum Carroy Tony Andrew Rupert Alan David Deano and Mark for your lovely wishes too which I really appreciate.
It has been a particularly bad year for me as most of you know with loosing my eyesight but can look forward to this coming year after getting a lot of it back = but still a ways to go yet.

Thankyou George for your good wishes and appreciated. They are a good crew here and yes I have had visitors these last two days actually - bit worn out now actually.
Decided to reverse the figures this year and are now only 67 - thought that that was a brainwave on my part - sounds better anyway.

LOL Jenny - yes it would if you were about 25 or 39.
Yes I have had a very busy weekend with visitors and phone calls. Just staying up late tonight so that I can ring England and speak to my favourite uncle who is aged 94 one day after me. He is a most wonderful person.
