Driven to distraction
« on: October 03, 2012, 10:32:01 AM »
This is what has been driving me up the wall since my Op. The digger has also been driving in piles which shakes our already earthquake hit house. Taken from the window of my bedroom. The diesel pump which drones 24hrs a day is several metres out of shot.

Can you not ask them to turn the pump off for the night time Tony?  They only do that when they are pumping out water dont they?
That unfortunately is one of the joys of living in Christchurch at present.

It's pumping water all the time through big hoses Suezy. No doubt there are many other sufferers which for them don't have the luxury of a country pad to flee to. It is lovely and peaceful back here at Port Robinson. The head space has improved already even though I've only been back a half hour. It probably wouldn't have been quite so traumatic if I had been trying to convalesce.
cheers
TC

My sympathies! Noise - the modern bane.

At least you are back home now with the isolation and peace the country gives you (so long as there are no strong winds about...)
