An Ancient WW1 Tank Driving Wgtn Waterfront
« on: September 06, 2012, 09:23:02 PM »
It says it is a replica but it still looks ancient and sounds liuke an ancient engine as well - quite fascinating really on YouTube:

And another one that is a lot more modern made of a modern excavator base frame and engine and hydraulic drive!  You can tell the difference between these two tanks, the tracks on the firs one look ancient compared to the nice new looking tracks here...

Great Clips Graeme, thanks for sharing.  Have watched a number of Docos on National Geographic and History Channels on the restoration of old tanks.  Fascinating.

Graeme do not know if you knew or not - but have a guy down here that collected a few of those tanks and other WW equipment that you are able to drive round his property.  Was going to put this on before but forgot till I was scrolling through on the forum.
Here is the site anyway and dont know the prices and wondered at the time if that tank you saw is due for here or not.
