Heavy storms in Algeria
-At least 20 killed and 56 other injured in heavy storms in Algeria.
-Most of the fatalities were due to severe storms and frequent lightnings.
-Tebessa, Tlemcen, Blida and Msila reported to be worse affected by the disaster.

Mudslide in Yunnan province of China
-Five killed in a mudslide in Baliu Township of Mojiang Hani Autonomous County of China.
-A group of eight villagers were affected by the disasters whereas three are reported to be safe.



Landslide in Cebu city, Philippines
-More than 65 people displaced due to a landslide in a mountain barangay in Talisay.
-However no injury reported.

Landslides in Uttarakhand, India
-Seven Nepali workers killed in landslide in Uttarakhand, India.
-Landslide disaster occured when they were digging for road construction in Darma area, 50 kilometers north of Dharchula in Pithoragarh.

Flooding and mudslides in Saratoga Springs, Utah
-About 24 homes evacuated due to heavy flooding and mudlsides caused by heavy rains in Jacobs Ranch subdivision.
-Redwood Road near 20th South reported to be closed.
-Storms and wind also knock out power for more than 14,000 Utahns.
-Evacuated residents are taking shelter at the LDS Stake Center at 2947 Swainson Ave, near Village Parkway



Flooding in  St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana
-About 600 people evacuated from the area east of Louisiana 41 between Bush and Hickory because of recent floods.

Flash floods in Carbondale, Illinois
-Spotters report flooding in front of Amtrak Station in Carbondale, IL.
-Several buildings along with Varsity Theater Building reported to be flooded.
-Carbondale is a city in Jackson County, in the state of Illinois, within the Southern Illinois region.

Flash floods in  Myagdi, Nepal
-Flash floods swept away bridge along the border of Majhphant and Dhairing VDCs of Parbat, Nepal.
-Flooding in the Lungdi rivulet obstructs transport facility to and from Myagdi .

Flash floods in Sokota, Nigeria
-Floods destroyed hectares of farmlands in five villages of Kware local government area of Sokoto State.

Flooding and landslide in Mumbai, India
-Heaviest rainfall of the season caused flooding in Kalyan, Dombivli, Vasai, Virar, Palghar, Dahanu of Thane.
-All flights were delayed by 15-20 minutes at the Mumbai airport.
-Heavy rainfall flooded rail tracks in Kurla, Mazgaon, Vidyavihar and Sion.
-There is also report of landslide in the Chembur area. Mumbai traffic police has issued an alert asking people to avoid unnecessary travel.

Storms in Perth, Australia
-Gusts of up 89 km/h recorded in the metropolitan area of Australia.
-Heavy rain and other storms forecast between Geraldton to Narrogin to Albany.
-A severe weather warning is in place for WA's southwest from Denham to Hopetoun, including Geraldton, Northampton, Kalbarri, Dalwallinu, Jurien Bay, Perth, York, Mandurah, Narrogin, Bunbury, Busselton, Bridgetown, Margaret River, Katanning, Albany, and surrounding areas.

Flash floods in Auckland, New Zealand
-Flooding in Warkworth, north of Auckland affects 20 homes.
-According to Auckland Airport, four flights were delayed or canceled.

Tropical Storm Leslie
-As of 03:00 UTC, TS Leslie was located 700 km N of the Leeward Islands.
-Leslie is moving toward the northwest near 10 mph.
-Swells generated by Leslie could affect portions of the Leeward Islands for the next day or so.
Update
Tropical Storm Leslie is expected to hit Bermuda Sat. Cape Cod to Atlantic Canada should be watching Leslie too.

Post-Tropical Cyclone Kirk
-As of 03:00 UTC, TC Kirk was located 1550 km ENE of Cape Race Newfoundland.
- The Post-tropical cyclone is racing northeastward at 47 mph. No threat to land.

Typhoon Bolaven in North Korea
-Latest reports from North Korea has shown that Typhoon Bolaven killed 48 people and left 21,000 homeless.
-More than 6,700 houses were damaged. Bolaven also damaged at least 50,000 hectares of farmland.

Alaska/Little Sitkin recent volcanic activity
-Seismic activity still continues at a remote volcano in western Aleutian Islands of Alaska.
-The volcano is far from any populated areas. However, no eruption has been detected from the latest activity at the volcano.

Wildfire in Bali, Indonesia
-Wildfire burned 200 hectares of pine forest in the forest on Mt. Agung in Karangasem.
-Fire affected eastern part of mountain of Bankubu and Jungutan villages.
-Fire is predicted to be caused by the current dry season. It is a volcano mountain area.

Wildfire in Angeles National Forest, California
-Fire in Angeles National Forest has grown to 1000 acres.
-More than 1200 people evacuated.
-About 200 firefighters with four water-dropping helicopters and nine air tankers are struggling to control the blaze.

Wildfires near Yakima, Washington
-Two wildfires reported near Yakima in central Washington.
-About 75 firefighters are struggled to control the blaze.

Wildfire in Shasta County, California
-Wildfire burnt  125 acres in Shasta County.

Thanks Jenny for the above - a lot of water everywhere.  Mud slides would be the worst I would think - little warning with those.
