Expecting fog this morning in Waitakere and round abouts, bit dark still to see. Temperature is going up and down a bit at the moment, currently 4.6 deg, low was 3.8 deg C.
Looking like a good day and a few more following.

Can see now, no real sign of fog up here but could be in the valley - lots of clear sky and some cloud.
Temperature is up to 5.5°C now

Tokoroa 7:45

A mainly blue sky day with stringers of cirrus lines and mares tails. 3.6deg was the O/N low and currently 5.1deg with a rising sou-easter, gusting 20km/h.  A nice day despite the breeze!

Fog now lifted from us, bathed in sunshine again up in the hills here, but can still see it's covering the valley below.
Our seesaw temperature is back up to 5.6°C now - should stay on an upward trend now with blue sky and next to no cloud.

Friday’s national forecast
« Reply #19 on: July 06, 2012, 07:12:54 PM »
A few showers about the northern tip of Northland today with light southerlies. Morning showers clear about southern Taranaki and showers on the east coast of the North Island and Wellington ease to the odd drizzly shower in the afternoon with southeasterlies. Mostly sunny elsewhere with light winds and some cloud after a foggy start. High’s about Northland of 16 degrees, low double figure highs across the lower North Island.

A ridge lying over the South Island should bring mostly settled weather and sunny skies. Areas of cloud will still affect Southland however and along the coast north of Banks Peninsula but slowly dissipating during the day. Morning fog is possible again in Central Otago but should lift during the day. Temperatures in the high single figures for most areas however Nelson and down along the West Coast through to Hokitika should just get into the teens.
