A respectable and above-average total of about 41 hours of sunshine here to the 9th - same period last June had only 18.8 hours (and only 71 for the whole month).

Norfolk Island today is Queens birthday public holiday (like Australia) the clouds have gathered and it is spitting. the forecast is heavy rain and wind. 15`C at 7am this morning. now at 16`c and expect a high of 19`C. An indoor day I think. I put some photos on of bounty day and the waves and sunset yesterday.

Port Robinson 12.30pm
Rain back again............ (about half an hour into a firewood-splitting job). Temperature has dropped from a max of 12.5° to 6.5° and the wind has gone round to the SE. Rain 1.6mm so far.
