Hi Mark,
And I am watching your temperatures as well... and yes, sometimes envious!

Keeping warm is not hard for inside, with central forced air heating pretty well everywhere.  And that also does the A/C in summer when we can get mid 30°C.  Building Code has high standards for insulation, including attic, windows and doors.

The cold outside is not usually any obstacle, just need to dress for it.  I am heading outside shortly to blow out the driveway - most use of the snow blower this year that I can recall.

So far this winter has been very cold, and lots of snow days, snow falling and blowing making driving and visibility very tough and often roads closed in the parts closer to Lake Huron as the snow squalls come off of the still unfrozen lake. 

For enjoyment, I now have an Ecowitt LDS01 depth sensor for auto measuring snow depth, and CumulusMX is programmed to us the laser to indicate the amount of new snowfall.  Not perfect yet, but making headway https://www.komokaweather.com/cumulusmx4beta/trends.htm#laserdepth
