Forecast in Brief for Thursday the 21st June 2018



Northland and Auckland north of Orewa
Rain, with heavy falls and possible downpours, easing overnight and clearing from the south later tomorrow. Gale southeasterlies in exposed places, easing tomorrow.

Remainder of Auckland, Waikato and Coromandel
Scattered rain clearing tomorrow morning and becoming mainly fine.

Waitomo to the Kapiti Coast, including Bay of Plenty and the central high country
Cloud clearing early tomorrow, then mainly fine.

Gisborne to Wairarapa
Often cloudy with a few showers.

Wellington and Marlborough
Fine, apart from isolated showers about coastal Marlborough and the eastern hills of Wellington.

Nelson, Buller, Westland and Fiordland
Fine.

Canterbury, Otago and Southland
Cloudy periods near the coast, with isolated showers until morning. Fine spells inland, but areas of low cloud and fog persisting in some valleys.

Chatham Islands
Cloudy periods, with the odd light shower.
