Canterbury and coastal Otago
Mostly cloudy, with patchy morning drizzle. Fine breaks developing this afternoon.

Inland Otago, Southland, Westland and Fiordland
Mainly fine. However, isolated afternoon or evening showers about the ranges, some heavy with possible thunderstorms and hail in Westland.
