Fine at first, then scattered rain developing this afternoon.

Buller and Westland
Fine at first. Scattered rain developing north of Hokitika late morning.

Fiordland
Cloudy periods, with a few showers turning to rain this evening with possible thunderstorms.

Canterbury to Southland
Mainly fine. Scattered rain developing in Southland tonight.

Chatham Islands
A few showers clearing this morning, then fine.
