Another gorgeous Bay of Plenty Winters day with warm sun (20.7 at 13:37) with no more than 10 - 12 km/hr of breeze starting the day as a Southerly but then from the Northerly quarter from late morning with a couple of swings around the compass during the afternoon then settling back into the South this evening. Bit of a rollercoaster ride for the Barometer today but it managed to stay within the 1029.3 hPa and 1032.2 hPa range. Humidity has been more like summer than winter today and yesterday getting down to 46% both days. With just one day to go in the month it has been a very dry July this year with only 60.3 mm of rain for the month and 1003.7mm for the year to date which is not too bad really considering the extremely dry start to the year. It is looking like we will see more rain than 60mm in the first few days of August if the Tropical low that arrived on our weather maps today visits us as predicted, apparently it contains quite a bit of rain.
