Thursday lookin' good overall

Today you could be forgiven thinking that it's groundhog day as the same weather pattern continues on for New Zealand.

There is one difference today though and that's an area of cloud along eastern parts of the South Island where drizzly showers could change the scene from recent times.

For much of the country however it's sunny areas interspersed with some cloudy patches. Temperatures will be mild to warm yet again however as the southerly sweeps in over the south it'll be cool, if it's not feeling a little fresh already.

It was a warm night last night across parts of the country and quite a few people had a bit to say on the matter.

"ust beautiful here in Levin the Horowhenua, all the windows open. Reminds me of the 60's. Crickets singing, haven't heard that for years" said Nita.

Wendy also commented" Itz awesome weather, love the heat. Still warm in Dannevirke. another high temp up to 30deg for Thursday".

Candice added"all windows open, doors open, warm with a little breeze, when u feel the breeze its so gud lol but awesum weather to go for a midnight swim lol."

Helen mentioned the dryness.." Really warm in South Wairarapa. No breeze. Fire danger signs all on "very high" Next step will be extreme if we dont get rain this next week."

Paul hasn't been impressed with the season.. "Go away summer, you have made your point, now it is someone else's turn!" but the dry spell is not all bad news it seems according to Chris "Still warm in Palmy and no sign of rain - water truck is doing great business!".
