Northland, Auckland and Coromandel
A few showers, clearing tomorrow morning and becoming fine.

Waikato to Taranaki, including Bay of Plenty, the central high country, Gisborne and Hawkes Bay
Cloudy periods and a few showers, clearing tonight and fine spells increasing.

Whanganui to Wellington, also Wairarapa, Marlborough and Canterbury
Mainly fine. A few cloudy areas, and isolated showers about coastal Wairarapa and Banks Peninsula.

Nelson, Buller, Westland, northern Fiordland, and Otago except Clutha
Fine, apart from areas of valley fog.

Southern Fiordland, Southland and Clutha
Mostly cloudy. Scattered showers, some possibly heavy tomorrow evening.

Chatham Islands
Showers, some heavy overnight.
