Rain for most.

Northland, Auckland and Coromandel
A few showers, mainly in the west.

Bay of Plenty, Gisborne and Hawkes Bay
Rain, with heavy falls, clearing from afternoon. Scattered showers developing tomorrow, some heavy and possibly thundery for inland Hawkes Bay.

Waikato to Wellington, including the central high country, Nelson and Marlborough Sounds
Fine spells. A few showers, some heavy and possibly thundery, clearing south of Taranaki tomorrow night.

Remainder of Marlborough and Wairarapa
Fine spells. Scattered afternoon showers, some heavy and possibly thundery tomorrow.

Buller and Westland
Rain, heavy and thundery at times, easing to showers this evening.

Otago and Canterbury
Scattered showers, some heavy and possibly thundery, clearing tonight. Scattered showers developing again in Canterbury and eastern Otago tomorrow.

Southland and Fiordland
Showers, some heavy this afternoon, clearing tomorrow evening.

Chatham Islands
A few showers. Rain tomorrow morning, followed by showers.
