Areas of morning cloud then fine. However, isolated afternoon and evening showers from Waikato northwards.

Marlborough, Nelson, Buller, Westland and Fiordland
Fine, apart from a few showers in Buller and northwest Nelson.

Canterbury
Cloudy, with light showers morning and evening.

Otago and Southland
Cloud retreating to the coast this morning and becoming fine elsewhere.
