Nelson, Marlborough, Buller and Westland
Cloudy periods with isolated showers clearing this morning and becoming fine.

Canterbury
Fine, apart from areas of morning cloud.

Otago, Southland, Fiordland
Mainly fine, however rain developing in Fiordland this evening and a few spots elsewhere.
