Gisborne and Hawkes Bay
Sunny.

Wairarapa, Kapiti, Wellington, Marlborough and Nelson
Mainly Sunny. The odd shower about Wellington, Wairarapa and the Kaikoura Coast overnight.

Buller, Westland and Fiordland
A few showers, turning to rain in Fiordland this morning and spreading north during the afternoon with heavy falls south of the Glaciers.

Canterbury, Otago and Southland
High cloud thickening, with patchy rain in Southland.

Chatham Islands
Becoming Sunny this morning.
