Mainly fine, but scattered rain developing this afternoon.

Nelson and Marlborough
Rain setting in this morning with heavy falls about the ranges, clearing this evening.

Buller, Westland and Fiordland
Rain with heavy falls and thunderstorms, easing overnight.

Canterbury, Otago and Southland
High cloud. A period of rain this morning or afternoon, then showers in Southland and Otago from afternoon, some heavy and possibly thundery, a few spreading north to Canterbury overnight.
