Chilly start to the day here in Napier. The air minimum dropped to this year's lowest, at 3.9 C at 0644. The grass minimum went down to a toe-tingling 2.3 C. Clear skies and a very faint breeze contributed to this. My lowest min for April last year was 4.6 C, and that was much later in the month...!
