Monday
For all the North Island
Fine and sunny. However, in the west from Waikato to Wellington, expect areas of cloud morning and night.

For Nelson and Marlborough
Fine and sunny. Some evening cloud about the Kaikoura Coast tomorrow.

Westland and Buller
Fine spells. Cloudy tomorrow with drizzle.

Fiordland
Fine spells today. Cloud increasing tonight, and rain spreading from the south tomorrow morning, with some heavy falls.

Canterbury
Fine today. Morning and evening cloud tomorrow, and rain in South Canterbury at night.

Otago and Southland
Fine today. A period of rain spreading northwards tomorrow, then clearing.

Chatham Islands
Cloudy periods, with a few showers this evening.

Tuesday
North Island, mainly fine, but cloudy areas and a few showers in the south and about the inland ranges. South Island, long fine spells in the north, a few showers in the west, patchy rain or drizzle elsewhere.

Wednesday
North Island, mainly fine, isolated afternoon and evening showers in western and central areas, mainly inland. South Island, mainly fine, but patchy morning drizzle over Otago and isolated afternoon and evening showers about the ranges north of Wanaka.

Thursday
North Island, mainly fine apart from isolated afternoon and evening showers over central areas and ranges north of Palmerston North. South Island, mostly fine in the north. Isolated afternoon and evening showers about the ranges, and a few showers about the southern coast. Also patchy drizzle over Fiordland.

Friday
Fine over of the North Island. South Island, patchy drizzle in the western areas, turning to rain south of the Glaciers. Mainly fine in the north and east, but a few morning showers over coastal Otago and some showers about the southern coast, clearing later.
