Boy's Club.

The four from Lombard have received their sentence, "Community Service". What a joke. It will probably be done in some cushy little outfit not out with the naughty boys doing manual work. It is like being slapped with a wet bus ticket. What about all the little people that lost their life savings and have had their retirement seriously compromised. I bet the Lombard Four have not had their savings diminished. One rule for the average person and one rule for the white collar crims. SHAME! Wish I could join the "Boy's Club". Yeah right.

I have seen quite a few letters to the newspapers supporting these guys (!!!) - to me, they were either criminal, or at least criminally negligent. Retire on a good pension, put feet up and pick up director's fees for doing nothing but attending the odd meeting. But there's a warning for future board members and directors caught in this sort of thing - they will do time. NZ is still the land of the cowboys when it comes to the stock market and financial regulation, but things are starting to change.

I agree Robert. It's about time for things to change. The support these people have had probably come from similar white collar clubs. I still feel very sorry for all those who lost money.
Now Hanover executives are in the firing line. Aboiut time!
