Flooding in Cape Town, South Africa
-More than 30 places across cape Town reported to be flooded including Rondebosch, Bonteheuwel and Crawford.
-Following Disaster management spokesperson of Cape Town, around 15 vehicles were removed from the flooded area. Four people injured in Mew Way and Spine road in cape Town.
-Evacuation order issued for the River Club in Observatory lying next to the Liesbeeck River. More than 60 people were evacuated from the flooded area.
-Heavy thunderstorms are forecast for Gauteng and Mpumalanga.
-Massive KwaZulu-Natal-South Africa floods in 1995 killed 154 peoples.





Flooding in Gilgit, Pakistan
-More than 20 houses destroyed in Ghizer area of Pakistan.
-The bridge connecting Gilgit district to Chitral in the nullah washed away.
-Popular Shandoor Festival also affected by floods.

Flooding in Russia
-Death toll from Russian flood has risen to 171.
-About 159 people killed in and around Krymsk.
-There was rumor that flooding was caused by overflow of water from nearby dam.
-Russian President Vladimir Putin declared today (Monday) a national day of mourning.

Colorado's Waldo Canyon fire
-Colorado fire is now 98% contained.
-Still two houses on Harbor Pine evacuated due to water damage and gas service issues.
-A flash flood warning issued for El Paso county.

Wildfire in Bulgaria
-Wildfire reported near the town of Ihtiman, some 30 km away from capital Sofia.
-At least 62 acres burned closer to Ihtiman and Bakar Dere locality.

Tornado in Spotsylvania, Virginia
-Tornado destroyed two houses in Fleming street (Four-Mile Fork area).
-At least four reported to be injured.
-Nearly 250 lightning struck at the station on the Fredericksburg campus.

Hurricane Daniel
-As of 03:00 UTC, Hurricane Daniel was located 1485 km SW of the southern tip of Baja California.
-Daniel is a category two hurricane on the Saffir-Simpson hurricane wind scale.
-Daniel is forecast to weaken on Sunday as it moves over cooler water.

Tropical Storm Emilia
-As of 03:00 UTC, TS Emilia was located 930 km S of Manzanillo and about 775 km SSW of Acapulco, Mexico.
-Emilia is a fifth tropical storm of the season formed south of Mexico.
-Emilia is expected to become a hurricane on Sunday or early Monday.

Rainstorms and flooding in Germany
-Three killed and 20 others reported to be injured in a rainstorms in Germany.
-A nine year girl was killed by lightning at Heidenau near southeastern city Dresden.

Heat wave across United States
-At least 30 killed by excessive heat including nine in Maryland and 10 in Chicago.
