Thunderstorms 16/2/2012
« on: February 16, 2012, 07:22:41 PM »
Who's getting them?
My tracker is picking up strikes from Rodney right up to the southern Bay of Islands, other trackers are plotting strikes seemingly everywhere (even over me!).
Somebody in the North island must be getting something surely.  :D

There were cloud build ups in central NI around Lake Taupo to East and South.  Drove through heavy rain on Desert Rd 2:30pm but saw no lightning.  Was clear again by about Waiouru at around 3pm.  Fine in Wairarapa, and here in Martinborough, but mostly cloudy now.
