Title: What Base is used for starting, hourly weekly etc figures & data
Post by: macknife on April 09, 2012, 10:40:14 AM
I use Cumulus as a newbie, but have not sorted out the start point for the data, eg when does Windrun start, is the monthly data the Calendar month? etc
Thanks  Mac

Hi there,

The day should roll over at midnight.
Up top, Configuration - Station Settings
Over top left you will see " Logs Roll over: "
I have midnight checked.
So tick this and all will start at midnight including windrun :)

Yes it is the Calendar month.
Cheers
Jenny

The Windrun will start from your daily reset time which is likely to be midnight.  The monthly is then from 00:00 on the first of the month through to 23:59 on the last day of the month, assuming your daily restart was at midnight again :)

I know traditional NZ weather reporting has been based on a 09:00 restart due to manual reporting, but with most weather stations in NZ for NIWA and MS being all automated, they have moved to a midnight reset I believe.  I may be corrected on this point - :)  Mine is still a 09:00 reset.
