Nasa have a wonderful website that highlights the Picture of the Day.

One of the hardest things about astronomy is that most of the objects are either too distant, or are not visible to the human eye.
Nasa have taken most of the hard work out in seeing these spectacles, and have archived them to this site.
Take a few moments to browse, a new feature is added every day.
