Two-day truck event exceeds expectations
'Biggest ever' Christchurch show
Last updated 09:30 08/04/2012
David Kinch, organiser of the two-day event, had expected 70 trucks to turn up but was shocked when 138 pulled into Cutler Park yesterday.
It was the first truck show the 37-year-old stay-at-home Dad had organised and he said it was the "biggest truck show that has ever been in Christchurch".
Some of the biggest trucks were more than 20m long, over 4m high and weighed about 45 tonne.
The drivers will compete for the cleanest and most polished truck and the best light configuration.
