Title: Japan's Sakurajima volcano shoots 8,000-foot ash plume into sky on March 25

An explosive eruption rocked Sakurajima Volcano in Japan's Kagoshima Prefecture on March 25.

The eruption sent a massive ash plume 8,200 feet above the crater.

This was the volcano's 44th explosive event of the year.
