April's rainfall is the second lowest (12.6mm) in the 14 years I've been recording it. Lowest was 4.8mm in 2020.
This years rainfall appears to be following the pattern of 2015 which was less than 20mm per month Jan-June with the annual total making 495mm. Average annual rainfall is usually seven to nine hundred mm.
I read a book in the early 1980's "Cycles of Heaven". It's premise was everything in the universe happens in cycles. Some in short periods, others over millennia. It'll be interesting to see if the rest of 2024 follows the same pattern weather wise.
