Title: What is a Weather Station/Site Worth?
Post by: iomkiwi on November 01, 2021, 09:28:00 PM
Hi Guy's - Some of you may know who I am, I used to hang around here quite a lot...... ;)
Anyway life took a turn and my priorities changed, I have managed to keep my station ticking over most of the time but I have also made it known locally that I would like to see the Station move to a new home, recently I have had serious enquiries from a local business about them taking over the Station.I am having trouble coming up with a fair price to ask for the Station/website and would appreciate your thoughts on what is a fair price for what is arguably NZ's most popular Personal Weather Station (and number 10 in World ranking)Price would include the website, the Davis VP2+, Blitzortung lightning detector, plus 14 years of data.
Thoughts appreciated.

Great question!  I am about the same equipment; VP2 Plus, going on to 14 years data, Blitzortung, webcam and years of WU images, websites, etc...  Now if I was only as fortunate to have someone interested :)

Here is a place you can get your website value kerikeriweather.co.nz worth is $59.92 (valuemywebsite.net) (https://valuemywebsite.net/en/cost/kerikeriweather.co.nz)
And komokaweather.com is $70.80 (hopefully US$ instead of our lower CA$) ;)

Enjoy as long as you can!
