Title: New member hopes someone here can help
Post by: herdofdna on September 04, 2020, 07:02:24 PM
Hiya
We have a Fine offset WH 2900 that has worked well uploading all our weather date to WeatherCloud via WiFi connection.  We've had to get a new modem and I've been tearing my hair out trying to get it reconnected.  The instructions say to use the app WS Tool to make the link and it worked back when we purchased our weather station.  Today the app continually says "connect time out" and i cant get it to work.  App feedback suggests it no longer works.  Can any of you offer a solution how i can get our station to connect to the new modem?
Cheers
Amanda

Hi Amanda,
I am not very familiar with Fine Offset stations.  I do know these are marketed under various brands.  It does not look like that model number is sold/serviced by Ecowitt which is the consumer branch of Fine Offset http://www.ecowitt.com/ (http://www.ecowitt.com/)  but could be with another model number designation, or sold/serviced by another reseller.

A good source for trouble shooting of the Fine Offset Ecowitt/Ambient/Frogit products is at the wxforum.org site  https://www.wxforum.net/index.php?board=111.0

Enjoy,
Paul

Hi Amanda,

Just a thought. Is the wifi turned on, on the modem?
I hope Paul's suggestions help.

Meanwhile where in New Zealand are you :)

Cheers
Jenny

Hi Amanda
I hope you can find a solution-- it will be there, somewhere! WX  forums have a lot on them, as Paul suggests.
Cheers
