France on Friday recorded an all-time high temperature of 45.8°C on Friday, BBC reported. The temperature was recorded in the southern town of Gallargues-le-Montueux.

The previous high temperature recorded in the country was 44.1°C in 2003, during a heatwave that killed thousands. On Friday, French Health Minister Agnès Buzyn said “everyone is at risk”.

The 19th stage of the 2019 Tour de France has been brought to a standstill after a torrential hailstorm forced the race to be cut short during the riders' journey from Saint-Jean-De-Maurienne to Tignes.

The hail on the route was so bad it forced race organizers to call a premature stop to the stage before the riders reached the treacherous conditions.

The official Twitter account of the race alerted fans, saying: "The day's course has been called due to adverse weather conditions, rider times have been taken at Col de l'Iseran."

That report about 1930 makes the absurd claim of a 50C French temperature - zero credibility. It took decades to get the false world record reading from Azizia, Libya removed by the WMO, even after Libya discredited it. The often-quoted 134F reading from Death Valley cannot be trusted either, unsatisfactory exposure. Possibly the most ridiculous record that stayed unchallenged for many decades was the alleged 127F at Cloncurry - taken inside a partially closed verandah! The current status is that there are quite a few readings around the 54C mark currently accepted - though some may not stay that way - and that's where the bar sits at present.
Title: Snow in France forces cancellation of one of the biggest sport events in the wor

Violent Weather Forces Early Halt to Tour de France Stage 19,” reads the headline.  At the end of July!“Snow in France causes cancellation of a stage of Tour de France,” reads another.

Stage 19 of the Tour de France was halted on Friday when the roads became covered in snow and a hail storm near the finish line forced cancellation of the remainder of the stage. Crews quickly brought out snowplows to try to clear the slush on the roads, and some were buried under the remains of a large landslide.

Snowplows! At the end of July!

At about 13 minutes into the above video, the announcers become aware of snow on the roads. At about 14:15 minutes in you see the first snowplow.  And at about 14:50 minutes, you learn that the snow has forced cancellation of the race. At the end of July!

Snow, and a snow plow, show up at about 3:45 in the above video. At 4:08 you can actually see the falling snow.

“This has never happened in modern history,” says one of the officials.

Has the mainstream media bothered to tell you about this?
