Forecast in Brief for Sunday the 23rd June 2019

Northland, Auckland, Coromandel Peninsula
Rain spreading southwards early morning, with possible thunderstorms. Easing to isolated showers by midday, some possibly heavy.
Waikato to Manawatu, including Bay of Plenty, the central high country, and Gisborne to Wairarapa
Rain spreading south in the morning. Easing to showers north of Taupo in the afternoon.
Horowhenua to Wellington
Mostly cloudy, rain for a time in the afternoon.
Marlborough, Nelson, and Buller and Westland
Fine, with high cloud in the north, but patchy drizzle about coastal Marlborough clearing in the afternoon.
Canterbury, and Otago apart from Clutha
Areas of cloud clearing from the south, but patchy drizzle about the Canterbury foothills until afternoon.
Fiordland, Southland and Clutha
Mainly fine, but cloudy periods about the coast. Isolated showers about Stewart Island spreading north from afternoon.
Chatham Islands
Cloudy periods.
