Forecast in Brief for Tuesday the 10th July 2018

Northland to Wellington, including Bay of Plenty and the central high country
Showers, some heavy, with isolated squally thunderstorms and hail, easing tomorrow morning and gradually clearing from the south.
Gisborne to Wairarapa
Showers about the ranges, with a few spreading further east at times. Northwest gales, easing overnight tonight.
Marlborough and Nelson
Showers, some heavy, with possible thunderstorms about northwest Nelson and the Sounds overnight, clearing early tomorrow and becoming fine.
Buller to Fiordland
Showers, some heavy with hail, clearing south of Hokitika tonight and elsewhere tomorrow and becoming fine.
Canterbury
Mainly fine, but showers about the high country spreading elsewhere for a time overnight tonight.
Otago and Southland
Showers, falling as snow above 600 metres until early tomorrow, then clearing in the north.
Chatham Islands
Occasional showers.
