Forecast in Brief for Monday the 11th June 2018

Northland to Waikato, also Coromandel Peninsula, Bay of Plenty and Taupo
Mostly cloudy, with a few showers in the east from Northland to Coromandel. Showers gradually turning to rain Monday and spreading elsewhere. Some heavy falls possible, with gale southeasterlies in exposed places.
Waitomo to Kapiti, including Taumarunui and Taihape
Mainly fine. Scattered rain spreading south Monday afternoon and evening.
Gisborne and Hawkes Bay
Fine with high cloud at first. Rain Monday, with heavy falls from afternoon.
Wellington, Wairarapa
Fine at first. Rain developing Monday.
Marlborough, Canterbury and North Otago
Occasional rain south of Rakaia, spreading to the rest of Canterbury tonight and to Marlborough overnight.
Remainder of Otago, also Southland and Fiordland
Cloudy periods. Isolated showers, mostly about the coast.
Nelson, Buller and Westland
Fine spells, but rain in Westland clearing overnight.
Chatham Islands
Cloudy periods.
