Forecast in Brief for Tuesday the 5th June 2018

Northland, Auckland, Waikato, also Coromandel, Bay of Plenty and Gisborne
Periods of rain, with possible downpours and isolated thunderstorms, gradually clearing from the west tomorrow.

Waitomo to Kapiti, including Taupo, Taumarunui and Taihape
Scattered rain, clearing most places later tomorrow.

Hawkes Bay, Wairarapa, Wellington and Nelson
Patchy rain, clearing from tomorrow afternoon.

Nelson, Buller and Westland
Fine with high cloud.

Marlborough, Canterbury and North Otago
Occasional rain or drizzle, possibly heavy about the Kaikoura Coast, clearing tomorrow morning. However, rain spreading north tomorrow evening, with snow lowering to 400 metres.

Remainder of Otago, also Southland and Fiordland
Some cloud about coastal Southland, otherwise mainly fine. Rain spreading north tomorrow, possibly heavy with thunderstorms. Snow lowering to around 200 metres tomorrow night.

Chatham Islands
Cloudy periods today. Late rain tomorrow, with heavy and possibly thundery falls.
