Title: Despatches from TonyC
Post by: Wolfie33 on June 03, 2018, 04:00:31 PM
An email arrived mid morning from Tony . . .

I transferred a file to my server showing our riverboat heading into the beginnings of a thunderstorm in the Moselle River the other night.
The actual storm occurred after dark, but this clip shows a single bank of cloud with almost continuous flashes. Something I’ve never seen before.

The file is at
         Port Robinson, NewZealand (http://www.portrobinson.nz/Download/lightning.rar)

The file is a compressed rar at 91mb at my place, extracts to 94mb mov file & is 40secs long. Feel free to download for a view.

A couple of frame grabs are attached, second first one shows the incloud lightning flash.
These shots do absolutely no justice to Tonys video, but the file size limited options.

Cheers

(Ah, ok, the forum has reversed the image order)
