Forecast in Brief for Sunday the 3rd June 2018

Northland
Rain, with heavy falls and some thunderstorms, easing to a few showers tomorrow. Northeast gales in exposed places, easing tomorrow.

Auckland and Coromandel
Rain, with some heavy falls. Possible thunderstorms and downpours tomorrow. Northeast gales tonight and tomorrow morning.

Waikato to Taranaki, also Bay of Plenty, the central high country, Gisborne, Hawkes Bay and Wairarapa
Cloud increasing. Isolated showers turning to rain tomorrow, with heavy and possibly thundery falls about Bay of Plenty and the Kaimai Range.

Whanganui to Wellington, also Nelson and Buller
Fine at first. Cloud increasing during Sunday and scattered rain developing.

Marlborough and Canterbury
Mostly cloudy with scattered showers, especially near the coast.

Westland, Fiordland, Otago and Southland
Mainly fine and frosty, but persistent low cloud or fog in some valleys.

Chatham Islands
Fine spells with the chance of a shower.
