Forecast in Brief for Saturday the 2nd June 2018

Northland
Cloud increasing. A few showers, turning to rain tomorrow, with heavy falls and possible thunderstorms. Northeasterlies, rising to gale in exposed places tomorrow.
Coromandel and Bay of Plenty
A few showers, becoming more frequent tomorrow.
Auckland to Waitomo, also Taumarunui and Taupo
Mainly fine today. Cloud increasing tomorrow and a few showers developing, turning to rain in Auckland in the evening.
Taranaki to Kapiti, including Taihape
Fine, with morning frosts in sheltered places.
Gisborne, Hawkes Bay, Wairarapa and Wellington
Cloudy periods. A few showers south of Napier, spreading further north tomorrow morning, but clearing about Wellington.
For all the South Island, except Canterbury and coastal Marlborough
Fine with morning frosts, but persistent low cloud or fog in some valleys.
Canterbury and coastal Marlborough
Often cloudy with scattered drizzle.
Chatham Islands
Cloudy periods and a few light showers.
