Isolated showers, becoming widespread tomorrow afternoon with possible thunderstorms in Auckland.
Waikato to Wellington, including the central high country
A few showers. Rain spreading from the south tonight and tomorrow morning, heavy for a time and possible thunderstorms in the west, easing to isolated showers from tomorrow afternoon.
Gisborne to Wairarapa
Cloudy periods. Scattered rain for a time tomorrow.
Nelson and Marlborough
Rain spreading east tonight, heavy for a time in Nelson, then clearing early tomorrow and becoming fine.
Buller and Westland
Rain with heavy falls in Buller. Occasional showers in Westland. Easing to occasional showers everywhere overnight tonight.
Canterbury
Fine with variable high cloud.
Otago and Southland
Showers about coastal Southland, some heavy with hail, spreading everywhere for a time tomorrow.
Chatham Islands
Fine today. Rain tomorrow.
