Could a Weather Display User with half an hour to spare :) please type a list of instructions on 'How to' move Weather Display from one PC to another. Not so much the installing of Weather Displaying but the Exporting and Importing of the data.
A north North Islander would appreciate.
Thanks
Cheers

Easy
Others may add more detail, but basically
1: Run the backup script. It will create a zip file that contains a .reg file. Note the location of the .zip file you will need it later
2: Copy the wdisplay directory and all subdirectories across to the new PC. You can do this via USB stick. You shouldn't need to zip the directory up but if it's easier then by all means!
3: On the new PC make sure the new wdisplay directory sits at the top level usually c:\
4: Open the backup zip file and locate the .reg file. Extract the zip file if you need to
5: Double click on the .reg file. You will get a message asking if you want to add the items to the registry. You do, so click yes or ok
...and that's it. The software should be set up the same way as it was on the old PC
To get it to connect to your station, you may need to play with the comport. Also if your webcam was sitting on the old PC you will need to set up the path to that. The upload paths should all be ok
If you need more details let me know and I'll add them in when I have a copy of WD in front of me tomorrow.
