Something for hanging things off so they stretch like leather or wool or pelts
Or a set of swings for very athletic mice
-

-
Yes well... neither of those are correct obviously :)

Some type of desk that is upside down?
-
You sure its on this planet?
Could we find it in New Zealand?
Could I buy this in a shop?
I obviously can't eat it but is it something to do with food?
-
Flower press?
Something used for stretching - for example building a picture frame and putting a canvas on it?
-
Possibly something to do with weaving or spinning?
-
@ Babs, yep can find in New Zealand and yep could buy in shop.
Nope cant eat and nothing to do with food.
@ Gabba, upside down desk...really!!!! ...lol
No to flower Press and no to use for stretching canvas
@ iomkiwi, No to weaving and spinning :)

An air xylophone?
-
and no to those 3.

-
This time next year we might have found out what it is lol
Could I buy one in a shop?
Something to do with a vehicle of some kind?
-
is it some game for squirrel to hang there nuts on?
-
A pasta making machine
-
Yes you could buy one, but would probably have to go searching mas would be hard to find.
I just had a quick look on trademe but could not find one.
Nothing to do with a vehicle.
No to squirrels and their nuts :)
No to pasta machine.
ok a clues:
This is not something that would be used much these days. Those using it would be more art and craft groups.
You would have to be taught how to use it. It is not something you can plonk down and away you go.
If you wanted it to be used it more likely you would pay someone to gain the 'finished product'.
-
Is it for weaving tartan?
-
No
Stay away from anything to do with fabrics :)
-
Jewellry
-
No to jewelry.
Think Art and Craft groups. What else do they make.
Remember anything fabric is out.
The photo above would be used to make these on a larger scale but Art and Craft groups would make them using smaller machines and also by hand.
:)

Carpets
Rugs
Furniture
Paintings
-
Candle making?? Wax drips down.???
-
Or the metal rod is dipped into hot wax????
-
A stretching rack used at Guantanomo, but not for the prisoners of course - that would be mean. It would be for the mice. Yes, the mice.... thats it!
-
Not the mice oh please not the mice
-
Turning hanks of wool into balls?
-
Carpets
Rugs
Furniture
Paintings
Candle making
Stretching rack ??????
Wool into balls
No to the above. Stay away from anything fabric or material type of thing.
However a tape of sorts would be used. The tape of sorts would hang from the hooks :)
Valerie art and crafts groups could use. Probably a smaller frame.
So taking away fabric stuff what else do art and craft groups make.
-
Something to do with book binding?
I am thinking that it holds the stitching that you use to bind books.
-
