I'm going with an inking theme

Either a stamp (ie touch the stamp pad and print on paper) or a spray painters template (ie spray the template to put an image of a train in something)

And the random guess is that it is part of a stamp (used for postal purposes)

A lighthouse, lights still going, that's been blown over in a storm to its left and landed on two rocks. Its foundations are still attached to its base on the right...

Ok so clues begin.

So far wolfie is the closest with his:

It is not so much what is it but where would you find it.
It is a small part of something else.
It is slightly smaller than the image.

I guess to be entirely accurate the answer is the Marleybone Station - 'cos Liverpool St is upside down, Kings Cross has done a nosedive, and Fenchurch St is sitting on it's ar5e  ;D
