Title: Notice of Upcoming Forum Maintenance Window 25 June 2016

Hi all

I need to rebuild the forum, to fix some errors that have come up. Rebuilding the forum will take 2-3 hours. During that time the forum will be in maintenance mode and you will get a message indicating such.

I'll try and pick a time when traffic on the forum is low. I'll try and do it sometime tomorrow. If you find the forum down for maintenance, come back in an hour or so!

After the rebuild, if you strike problems then please pm me or reply to this post, below

Hi gabba

This morning I had to log in manually for some reason- as if I had installed a new browser, or used google chrome from another OS.

Says that I stay logged in for so many thousands of minutes, so maybe I reached that limit?

No - probably everyone has to do that, sorry. Have replaced a fair share of the forum files, so it's highly likely that stored logon credentials got lost in the process somewhere

Old link to forum gives a 404 error message.

Will have to delve into my web page menu to change it!

Yes - there is a problem with the module that rewrites the forum url's into friendly urls. You have bookmarked a friendly url, but if you bookmark New Zealand Local Weather Forum - Index (http://www.localweather.net.nz) the website will always redirect you to the right place.

At this stage the mod is off, because if it's on then any link you click on, on the forum, returns you to the homepage. I didn't think of peoples bookmarks ;-)
