Still dreary for the most part. It's already inevitable that we will have our cloudiest Dec-March period in over 105 years of records here - and the Jan-March record will go as well unless we have a run of sunny days next week.

After last night's storm the day dawned beautifully fine and clear except fr some cloud on the kaimai's.  It has deterioated from there, breeze getting up & more cloud this afternoon, showers on the Kaimai's but no precipitation here.  warm ay but getting coller now.

Some light rain in the early hours of the morning, then dry and overcast. Light easterly died away, then backed N then NNW, freshening a little. Skies cleared from the NW during the morning, with some sunny periods, then patchy medium and low-level cloud returned in the mid-pm. Moderate to fresh NW wind during the morning, veering NNE in the afternoon and easing. Warm pm temps.
