Title: Flooding hits parts of Wellington. Porirua bears the Brunt 5th May
Post by: JennyLeez on May 05, 2016, 12:15:17 PM
The Wellington region has been hit with torrential rain causing widespread flooding.

Some streets have become fully submerged, schools closed, buses delayed and people have been told to stay away from Porirua's town centre.

Wellington City Council has responded to dozens of flood-related calls so far and there's no sign of the rain giving up just yet.

Roads, including the main road from Tawa to Porirua has been closed and several streets around Wellington's CBD have been affected by surface flooding.
