Northland to Taumarunui, including Coromandel Peninsula
Mainly fine. The odd shower about the west coast.
Taupo, Bay of Plenty and Gisborne
Rain with heavy falls, clearing this morning.
Hawkes Bay and Wairarapa
Scattered rain clearing this morning. A few showers return to Wairarapa south coast this evening.
Taranaki to Wellington, including Taihape
Patchy rain clearing early morning but the odd shower remain. Showers increasing north of Manawatu this evening.
Nelson and Marlborough
Mainly fine. Isolated afternoon or evening showers.
Buller to Fiordland
Showers, clearing from Fiordland this afternoon.
Canterbury and Otago
Scattered showers developing this morning, then clearing in Otago this afternoon and from Canterbury tonight.
Southland
Brief morning rain, followed by a few showers.
Chatham Islands
Cloud increasing.
