From Waikato to Wellington, including Taumarunui and Taihape, also Gisborne, Hawkes Bay, Wairarapa and Marlborough

Nelson
Patchy drizzle developing this morning, turning to widespread rain during the evening.
Buller, Westland and Fiordland
Rain spreading north today, reaching Buller this evening. Some heavy falls are expected in southern Westland.
Canterbury, Otago and Southland
High cloud increasing. Rain developing about the Canterbury and Otago high country this afternoon.
