From Northland to Manawatu and Bay of Plenty to Wairarapa including the central high country
Mainly fine, apart from areas of morning cloud and the odd shower in Taranaki. Isolated showers developing about eastern Northland this evening.
Kapiti and Wellington
Fine at first, but becoming cloudier this morning with the odd shower possible.
Nelson, Marlborough and Canterbury
Fine with increasing high cloud.
Buller
A few showers turning to rain tonight.
Westland and Fiordland
A few showers turning to rain in Fiordland this morning and in Westland in the afternoon, with some heavy and possibly thundery falls.
Southland and Otago
Fine at first. High cloud developing from afternoon and scattered rain developing in Southland and Clutha tonight.
